On the offense side the Angels managed to only get four hits and score one run. The hits were produced by the major league hitters expected to be in the starting line-up this season. The biggest hit was Guerrero's RBI triple in the thirs that scored Eckstein. The other 3 hits were produced from a trio of hitters Erstad,Salmon and Guillen each got one hit in today's game other than that there was nothing happening on offense.
On the pitching side this game was lost by the major league pitching staff of the Angels. They managed to allow 7 runs into today's game. The stats as follows were Lackey allowing 4 runs on 6 hits in 3 innings with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. His worst pitch when he allowed a solo homerun to left by former non-hitting Angel Eric Owens.
