In the infield, Salt Lake will feature the 2005 Minor League Baseball Player of the Year, Brandon Wood. Wood is also ranked as the number one prospect in the Angels system by Baseball America. Kendry Morales, who played 57 games with the Angels in 2006, returns to Salt Lake for his second season.
In the outfield, Nick Gorneault returns to Salt Lake after leading the Bees with 78 RBI and nine triples in 2006.
On the mound, the Bees return eight pitchers from the 2006 squad including Greg Jones who led the team with 17 saves, Kasey Olenberger who finished the year with a 7-5 record and Matt Wilhite who went 7-2 with a 3.49 ERA.
