Posted Apr 23, 2007

Infielder Mark Trumbo has been activated from the disabled list and will rejoin the Cedar Rapids Kernels. Catcher Brett Martinez has been assigned to the Angels Extended Spring Training Complex in Tempe, AZ.

Mark Trumbo was placed on the DL on April 16 with a contusion on his left forearm after being hit by a pitch back on April 14. In six games, Trumbo is batting .143 with 4 RBI.

Brett Martinez joined the Kernels on April 18 from extended spring training and was batting .182 with 6 RBI in three games for the Kernels.

The move keeps the Kernels roster at 25 active players, which is the maximum allowed by the Midwest League.
