Angels honor three minor leaguers

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim honored three players on Tuesday. Hainley Statia was named Defensive Player of the Month, Nich Adenhart earned Pitcher of the Month and Nathan Hayes secured Player of the Month.

Rancho Cucamonga Quakes shortstop Hainley Statia was named Angels Defensive Player of the Month for April. A 21-year old native of Curacao, Statia committed only one error in 122 total chances during the month of April. He was also second on the club in stolen bases.

Nick Adenhart was named Pitcher of the Month. The 20-year old, Silver Springs, MD resident was 3-1 with a 0.80 ERA in five starts for the Double-A Arkansas Travelers of the Texas League.

Triple-A Salt Lake outfielder Nathan Haynes was named Angels’ Player of the Month for April. Haynes, 27, hit .387 with two homers and 17 RBI in April.
