Right-hander Trevor Bell has been activated from the DL, effective Sunday, and that right-hander Sammy Leon will be placed on the DL.

Trevor Bell was placed on the DL back on April 26 when he strained a groin muscle warming up in the bullpen prior to his scheduled start. He is scheduled to start Tuesday’s noon game vs. Clinton at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids.

Sammy Leon goes on the DL with tendonitis in his right shoulder. In six games he has a 1-0 record and 5.68 ERA with six walks and six strikeouts in 6-1/3 innings pitched.

The move leaves the Kernels roster at the MWL maximum of 25 active players.
