Right-hander Jose Arredondo was demoted by the Los Angeles Angels to the class-A advanced affiliate in Rancho Cucamonga, CA on Thursday.

Jose Arredondo had not pitched for the Travs since June 6, when he stormed off the mound after being replaced in the 9th inning of a 5-3 victory over Wichita.

Replacing Arredondo on the Travs roster is left-hander Brad Beck, who will join the club in Tulsa after posting a 1-2 record and 6.05 ERA in 23 relief outings for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes.

Arredondo had worked as the Travs closer recording 10 saves in 11 chances, a 2.52 ERA and 28 strikeouts in 25 innings.

Arredondo was voted to represent the Travs in the North All-Stars in the 2007 Texas League All-Star Game, but instead Arkansas right-hander Rich Thompson (1-2, 2.52 ERA in 16 games) will replace Arredondo in the All-Star Game.
