Albano to DL; Davies back to Kernels

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that infielder Marco Albano is being placed on the DL with a left thumb fracture and that infielder Josh Davies will rejoin the Kernels from Rancho Cucamonga of the California League.

Josh Davies was promoted to Rancho Cucamonga back on May 19th. At the time of his promotion, he was batting .212 in 15 games with no home runs and one RBI.

Davies went 1-for-14 in five games for the Quakes.

He is expected to arrive in Cedar Rapids before Saturday’s game with Wisconsin and be available for action.

In 23 games for the Kernels, Marco Albano was batting .161 with two doubles and six RBI.
