The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced that catcher Hank Conger has been placed on the disabled list with a left hamstring strain.

The injury was suffered in the 8th inning of the Kernels 5-3 win over Clinton. Hank Conger drilled a ball down the third base line, but pulled up rounding first base.

This will be his second time on the DL this season. He was placed on the DL on June 22 with a lower back strain and returned from that injury on July 25.

In 70 games for Cedar Rapids, he is batting .295 with 9 HR and 39 RBI. No replacement has been named at this time.

The roster moves set the Kernels roster at 24 active players with four players currently on the disabled list.
