Fish, Brossman All-Stars

Orem Owlz southpaw pitcher Robert Fish and third baseman Jay Brossman, who were tabbed as Pioneer League Pitcher of the Week and Offensive Player of the Week in August, were named to the League's 2007 All-Star team.

The nineteen year old Robert Fish from Montclair, California is 3-3 with a 3.08 ERA and 71 strikeouts this season. The 6'3" 230 pound Fish was selected by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the 6th round of 2006 out of AB Miller high school in Fontana, California. He struck out 102 batters and walked 28 in 69 2/3 innings in his senior year with six complete games and one shutout.

Jay Brossman, a former Utah Ute star, is hitting .352 with 7 homers and 42 RBI. He has been at the top of the Pioneer League in hits all season long and currently has 88. The 6'2" 210 pound Brossman was selected by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the 36th round of 2007 free agent draft out of the University of Utah. He was named to All-Mountain West Conference teams in 2004, 2005, 2006.
