| Richard Ryan Aldridge, a 17th round pick in the 2004 draft, got healthy, then put his nasty slider to work in the Midwest League. After a rocky start, he was nearly unhittable after May 15, giving up just four earned runs in his final 39 innings. He posting 81 strikeouts in 57 innings, but did post 21 walks, a number he'll have to reduce as he moves up.
Aldridge earned a promotion to Rancho Cucamonga just before the playoffs, but had a couple of rough outings to finish the season.
